vwoom vwoom = vroom vroom, "driving" the car

jink = drink

done! done! done! = finished eating

weeee! = used to express anything fun/exciting

a-cheee = The Cheat

bah-ba = Strong Bad

doe-doe = Homestar

ba-bah = basketball

mymuh-ma = Spiderman

teeee! = teeth, meaning "IwanttobrushmyteethrightNOW!"

bwoom = broom, mop, shovel, big stick, anything with a long handle

sheeoo = shoes

Nana = Grandma Tammi

Jama = Grandma Sharon

Bumpa = both grandpas

meeyook = milk

no = nose

eye = eye

mouw = mouth

on = on or off, he's not too particular

yight = lights (there's lots of pretty ones we see on our drives lately)

wight = right

yeft = left (Garminta taught him these)

naw naw! (in high-pitched voice) = knock knock!

pee-shoo = picture, he wants to play with the camera

tansh = thanks

ih-dance = Backyardigans (don't ask me where this one came from :)

Trip to the Zoo

These pictures are about 2 months old; I just forgot about them until now. :) They remind me of how beautiful Idaho summers are. Sadly, the zoo has been closed since the end of September, so we won't be going again any time soon.

Tautphas Park Zoo had a "Free adult admission if you're pushing a baby in a stroller" day, so Scott and I went. I was really impressed. The last time I was at this zoo (about 8 years ago), I remember them only having a penguin cage and a peacock or two. It was really lame. But they've REALLY expanded. I was quite impressed.

Pelicans; aren't they pretty?

Bears; they have two.

HUGE tortoises. The small ones were the size of a dinner placemat. Imagine how big that makes the biggest one. :)

The camel just had a baby, but it wasn't out at the time.

Huge emu. The only thing between us and it was that pile of sticks.

The lion woke from his nap at the perfect time for me to snap his picture. Serendipity!

Zebra. I think they had 4.

Tiger. Scott got lots of "rawring" in at this point.

They have a tiger statue for the kids to play on.

Yeah, I don't think this kangaroo was supposed to be this close to us. I didn't know it was there. I turned around and saw that there were only those metal cords separating us. It was a little disconcerting, heh heh.

But they do let the peacocks roam around wherever they desire.

They have a fun petting zoo.

Scott liked the goats.

Here's another bird place, covered, so they can't fly away, but they let these guys roam around throughout the exhibit, also.

Scott LOVED the lemurs and monkeys. Obviously. And they were all named "George".

All in all, I enjoyed it, and Scott had a great time.

I chose to do the 4x8 size, because these will fit in a standard long envelope which takes only one stamp to mail. It's easy to slip a family newsletter in with it that way.

I'm not sure if these cards come with their own envelopes--on one page of the site, it said they did, but I didn't see anything about it when I checked out. Mine should be here next week at the latest, and that's before the code expires, so I can let you all know.

Leaves at the Greenbelt

Give Scott a stick and the outdoors, and he'll be happy forever.

He likes to push the stroller, not ride in it.

Late but still great--Halloween costumes

Scott's first Trick-or-Treating experience. We were trying to teach him to say "Trick-or-treat!" but he just laughed at us. He would say "Hi-yah!", however.

The candy was too big and hard for him to eat in one bite.

At the Greenbelt, where the Young Single Adults (including Uncle Steven) had a nice little place for kids to trick-or-treat.
