May 2011 Recap

In May, we had a great time:

Inviting all the Barrus brothers to play videro game sports.

Sweet set-up, right? Can you see all 3 TVs, each with separate games going on?

And all of this inside our 700 sq ft apartment.

Speaking of fitting everything into 700 sq ft, we began house-hunting.

                                                        Does this one look familiar?

 Our Realtor, Bob.

So weird to see pictures of our empty house, before it was ours. Well, really before we even knew we could/wanted to put an offer on it.

And I took pictures of Caleb being a cute little 10-month-old.

The aphasia thing

So the picture of me in that last post is from the time I got an EEG to see if my neurologist could figure out what was wrong with me. That test came back with zero help.

As did an ambulatory EEG I wore for two straight days (pictured above).

So after a few thousand dollars in charges for these tests (MRI, two EEG's, a few neurologist visits) I decided I was done. Sure, I'm still having aphasia moments, and sure, I generally feel like I'm getting dumber sometimes, but I'm not interested in trying out some seizure meds just in case they happen to work.

The symptoms have been holding steady for a few weeks no, and if they start getting worse, maybe I'll head back in for round two.

But for the moment, it appears I don't have Alzheimer's or a tumor, and I'll take it.
