Last week was a little nuts.
Hopefully this week will be a bit calmer... we should be home for most of it while I kinda sorta get ready for my last semester of college ever.
Anyway, here are some pictures (mostly stolen from my sister's blog) and video (not stolen) from the past few days.
This is my mom's family's cabin. My grandpa, his sons, sons-in-law and grandsons built it from scratch entirely by themselves over the span of about a decade. I remember the basement being dug when I was about 8, and it was completed while I was in high school.
We arrived Monday morning with my mom and four of my brothers. My sister Brooke, her kid Jack and her husband Eric arrived a little after we did, and another of my sisters, Amy, showed up around seven.
Here are Mandi and Scott outside on the deck. Scott loves being outside. We saw three deer and assorted chipmunks and squirrels.
Here are Scott and Jack, cousins who are about three months apart. My mom gave Mandi a big box of baby clothes for Scott, and inside were these effeminate bib/dress things. We originally thought they were from the Netherlands, and perhaps some ancestors of ours had worn them while crossing the plains or something, but it turns out they're Thai, and my mom got them while serving her mission in Thailand.
Here are the moms and babies. Scott is enthralled with cameras, which makes him look like a little model baby in shots like this. Jack is less impressed.
Videos:
My Mom dragging Micah away from playing on the Wii I brought to go to the stream below the cabin. A good view of the main floor.
Everyone having a good time at the stream.
Micah and Jonathan (my little brothers) throwing rocks into the stream. I knew Micah would fall in, and I almost missed filming it. My favorite part is when he says, "Mom, I told you I didn't want to go to the stream!" Funny kid.
Scott and Jack playing under a toy for infants. Scott is a pro at it, and is thiiis close to being able to break it, so we gave it to Brooke and Eric for Jack to discover. Fun to see each of them enjoy it.
That's it for now. I'll post some more movies of just Scott tomorrow.
